The apostles obeyed God by preaching the name of Jesus and rejoiced when they were persecuted. We are called as believers not to seek the rewards of this world but to seek our Father in Heaven. At times in history and possibly in the future, we may have to face what the early church did, persecution. Our prayer right now should be: God, please strengthen me for the day you call me to stand up and possibly lose what's precious to me.
