Isaiah prophesied that the sin of his people has separated them from God. Sin that made God his His face from them and does not hear them. For God to hear us, sin needs to be no more, and prayer needs to be the veins of our spiritual life and passion. If you share God's desire, you will want nothing more than to shake Hell's gates. You can't shake Hell's gates if you don't pray.
