When Ananias and Sapphira lied to the Spirit about the money they would give, they were struck dead. Lying to the Holy Spirit and not following through with an oath made to God is a grave offense. The Holy Spirit is a blessing to every believer and should be revered as we follow Christ daily. How can we grow knowing what happened to Ananias and Sapphira in the early church?
