Pastor Wally is deeply devoted to the Word of God and to Christ. Wally’s first love in ministry is disciple making—the biblical model of multiplying God’s image bearers through the proclamation of the gospel to people of all nations. He has personally engaged in teaching the Bible internationally in Haiti and India, as well as throughout various parts of the United States.
Wally is passionate about global disciple making that starts in our community and moves outward, “We, like the Apostles in the book of Acts, have been instructed, entrusted and empowered to be Christ’s witnesses in concentric circles around our place of origin. For the Apostles it started in Jerusalem and moved outward to Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth. Buffalo Junction and Mecklenburg county are our Jerusalem, the state of Virginia is our Judea, the United States is our Samaria, and like the Apostles we must go to the ends of the earth, where no one else is willing to go, making disciples. God desires to be known among all peoples.”
Charlotte area natives, Wally and his wife, Wendy, have made their home in various places over the last four years as he has pursued his theological education. A life-long learner, Wally has earned two undergraduate degrees as well as a graduate degree. He is currently seeking his Doctor of Ministry Degree in Expository Preaching. He holds an Associate of Arts in Christian Ministries from Fruitland Baptist Bible College, a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies from the College at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has previously served at Fruitland Baptist Bible College as student body president, and currently serves Fruitland as vice-president of the Alumni Association. He served two churches as Interim prior to coming to serve at Buffalo Baptist Church. Currently, Wally and his wife, Wendy, live in Buffalo Junction with their two daughters, Mackynzie and Kiley and their son Emmaus.
